The Moroccan Embassy in Beirut confirmed that eight planes of humanitarian aid is leaving Casablanca to Beirut. They are expected to arrive today, Thursday, August 6.
Following the two massive explosions in Beirut port on Tuesday, August 4, a blast impacting half the city, the human cost is climbing with at least 137 deaths, 5000 injured and 300,000 homeless.
The Moroccan aid consists of four military planes and four civil planes transporting 295 tonnes of food, ten tonnes of drugs and eleven tonnes of covid-19 medical equipment. The planes will also bring a team of medical professionals to setup treatment facilities for the victims of the explosion.
